Thief on the Cross Templar Secrets in America Templars in America Series Book 2 eBook David S Brody

Why would a collector of ancient American artifacts hand over his prized pieces to a historian and then shoot himself in the head? And why does an ancient Templar scroll in his possession refer to Jesus as “The Thief on the Cross?”
The answers place historian Cameron Thorne at the dangerous intersection of secret American history and modern geopolitical intrigue. Following clues contained in ancient American artifacts and medieval European masterpieces, Cameron and his fiancée Amanda Spencer race to uncover the true secrets of early Christianity before a splinter group of religious zealots can silence them forever.
Based on actual historical artifacts, and illustrated.

As a born again Christain, I blatantly ignored the warning-my faith is based on a personal relationship with my God. However, that said, the tale was absolutely amazing. The research alone would have comprised years of cumulative work, the storey written so well that the characters became real. Even the mercenary's lonliness and pain transmitted to paper. Leave the facts in the public eye, the blind will continue to refuse to see, the deaf will turn away for fear of hearing something that makes them feel insecure. I have read the first and second books (then my kindle then my tablet both broke!!!) and if anything my relationship with God is stronger because I don't rely on someone in a pulpit to tell me what to think, believe or adhere to. I read my own Bible, do my own research and believe where the Spirit leads. Bravo on your amazing workProduct details

Thief on the Cross Templar Secrets in America Templars in America Series Book 2 eBook David S Brody Reviews
Mr. Brody has done it again-an exciting page turner in the style of Dan Brown,Bernard Cornwell & Clive Cussler.I read Mr. Brody's critically acclaimed previous book in this vein
"Cabal of The Westford Knight Templars at the Newport Tower" and I have been waiting for this sequel which is probably his best work. Mr. Brody has the ability
to move the action along at a very rapid pace and ,although a work of fiction, he is able to weave ,like a rare tapestry, the historical facts that support the
intellectual portion of his work. His characters are well developed and quite believable. You are in for some fast action, intellectual challenges and several twists and turns that come at
you at a rapid pace. There was obviously a lot of research that went into this novel and the historical aspects are well documented with footnotes and photographs. I'm sure you'll be inspired to follow up on the discoveries that are the underpinning of this story.
Cam and Amanda continue to explore, to analyze, to theorize about evidence of Templars in America, all the while informing the reader of a variety of historical artifacts and clues of pre-Columbus history that remains generally ignored fun and enlightening. Even as a committed Christian, I found the theme of the long protected secrets of the Templar discovery in Jerusalem fascinating and intellectually broadening, not offensive at all.
This is an entertaining read; however, I was disappointed that the author took such pains to research artifacts, but completely ignored the fact that his information about "Mormons" was so bizarrely wrong. I get that it is fictional, but I found Amanda and Cam's sanctimonious and superior attitudes very annoying as well. Even if everything could be substantiated, that doesn't stand to reason that their theories are more plausible than anyone else's.
The premise of the story is rather shocking and I'm not going to say that any of this is true for what is fascinating is the historical references that were made throughout the story The tracing of each clue and the interpretation of what everything was saying that is possible but may not be realistic so make your own decision but it was a very good story and a very interesting read
This would be a fantastic book had Brody not let his anti- religion and political biases literally bludgeon the reader. The protagonists overcoming everything from torn knee ligaments to a severe concussion and not break stride stretches credibility. The one thing in this book that does not stretch credibility and is highly likely are pre Columbian visits by Templars.
This theory was a unique theory to me, I have read books that theorize that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children, that da Vinci hid messages in his paintings, that a coffin saying bones were the brother of Jesus, but not a theory connecting Jesus, native Americans, knights templar and the question of divinity, so interesting because new to me. And at the same time disappointing because too many loose ends.
The disclaimer in the beginning gave me a heads up what kind of story this would be, but I've never seen it handled in quite this way before. I consider myself a religious person and a Christian, but spiritual as well, which, sadly, is not always the same thing. I loved this book on so many levels good action-crime-solve the puzzles- historical-fact based adventure? Check. Great characters that keep you following their development? Check. Documentation and explanations of the real artifacts? Check. (Loved all the pictures!) Loving guidance from the author? Check and double check. He prepared us for the journey, and then gave recommendations and referrals to continue reading and exploring if so desired. I loved the caring yet truthful explanations from the lead characters to the little girl, who was steeped in religion and doctrine, and already upset at her world being turned upside down. I felt so hopeful at the end of the book, that maybe the world can handle a little more truth.
